Camp Kesem Online Application System

This year’s application is slightly different from last year, and our application testers have generally found it more user-friendly! Nevertheless, some common questions arise, and answers can be found below. Please review the FAQs below before beginning work on the applications.

FAQs

Help! I cannot access the application.

If you see a blank page, an error message, or are unable to navigate the application page, the most likely cause is that your browser is incompatible with the system. Check to see if your browser needs any updates (this usually solves it!) or try a different browser. If neither of these options help, contact applications@campkesem.org

How can I find my local Camp Kesem chapter?

In the top left corner of the application page, you can sort the camps by location. Pick your state to see which camps are nearby! (Note, in some cases, a chapter may hold camp in a neighboring state. For example, Rice University will bus children from Houston to a campsite in Louisiana (so the camp is listed under LA), and Emory University will bus children from Atlanta to a campsite in Tennessee (so the camp is listed under TN)).

When it asks for participant, should I put my name, or my camper’s name?

Put your camper’s name. You will have a chance to add parent/guardian information at the end.

Why is it telling me that I already have an account?

If the system tells you that you already have an account, it is likely because you registered for another camp (unrelated to Camp Kesem) that uses the same ActiveCamps platform. Request your password to continue the registration process.

Why do I have to enter some family information multiple times for each child?

At this time, we are not able to auto-populate fields such as carpool questions, cancer type/prognosis, and how you learned about Camp Kesem. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and are working with our service provider to fix it.
