November 17, 2012 Winter Updates:Howdy all, This week we have a bit of nuts and bolts updates. I’ve got some info to share in regards to our reunion as well as on applications for our 2012-2013 camp. Also this week, I’ve got another ‘Why I Kesem’ from the Kesem Archives. This comes from one of our new members. She shares her thoughts on Kesem below in a touching, personal story. Our applications are now live for our returning campers, and we’ve already received a few applications! So apply now! With winter just under way, we’re getting pretty excited for our upcoming reunion. We’ve got a lot of fun things planned, arts and crafts, some games, and a few other surprises we dont want to give away. Cant wait to see you all there! Why I Kesem: “This camp is something that is very dear to my heart. When I was 11 years old, my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. As a child, I didn’t know who I could turn to that would understand what I was gong through. There were many nights when I would stay up wondering what would happen in the future. Each of our members has a unique story like this, reminding us of what makes this camp so unique. Our personal drives towards this great common goal unite us and help us to return to our roots and the important things in life: health, prosperity, and the pursuit of our own personal happiness. In this giving season, let us remember to give thanks for the things we have, and also give thanklessly. Cheers, Scooby Comments |
