In A Pinch
What is “In A Pinch”?
Started at UC Berkeley, “In A Pinch” is a new, year-round support program that is now available to the families of Camp Kesem UCSD. Throughout the year, our fun and extraordinary camp counselors will be volunteering to provide families with the help and support they need. Some examples of the services we will be offering include babysitting, homework help, camper hangouts, and any moral support. These services are completely free and available to all of our Camp Kesem UCSD families. If you have a request other than what is listed, please let us know and we will be happy to work something out with you!
How can I submit a request?
How does it work?
After you submit a request, you will receive an email response or phone call from the Outreach Coordinators or one of the “In A Pinch” committee members within 1-2 days. We will confirm that we received your request and are coordinating with a counselor. We will contact you again once we have something set up for you.
All counselors volunteering will have background checks performed, and depending on the service, we will bring appropriate waivers for you to sign.
Can parents help?
If you are able to help other families at this time, it would be very much appreciated. Let us know if you are interested!
Note: Since our counselors are volunteering their own time for this program, there may be some requests that we cannot fulfill, so please bear with us. But we promise to do our absolute best to help with what we can!
