The deadline to apply to be a Camp Kesem counselor for 2013 has already passed, but every January and February we recruit new members. Keep an eye out for applications next year!
*Each counselor is required to raise $500 and attend camp training once per week throughout spring quarter among other camp related events.
A part of Camp Kesem’s mission is “to allow college students to channel their passion for making a difference, while developing critical leadership skills for long term social impact.”
This mission is supported by the great need during the academic year to prepare for camp and there are many niches for anyone to get involved. Because Camp Kesem is a student-run organization, all aspects of camp are organized and run through University student leadership.
Along with our two co-chair leaders, six committees, each headed by two coordinators, work together to make Camp Kesem at UCLA happen every year: Camp Programming, Camper Care, Fundraising, CIT/Teen Programming, Student Support, and Public Relations.
