Seniors 2014: This is good night and not goodbye…
To our graduating executive board members,
Congratulations, you did it! You graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison today, and we are excited for all of you. We will greatly miss you as we look ahead to planning camp next year, but we are so happy that you will be at camp this summer.
Be proud of all the work you have done for CKUW. As your younger Kesem family, we look up to you. You taught us how to create a magical, life-changing summer camp for more than one hundred campers. You demonstrated leadership, patience and passion as you taught us the ropes- thank you.
It won’t be easy, but we promise to do our best to live up to the standards you set.
Daisy, Camp Kesem has been blessed to have been led by you these past two years. You have given so much time and dedication to overseeing everything we do with CK. Thank you for always encouraging us and keeping us focused. You have impacted the lives of all of us leaders and more importantly of our campers. We will all miss you next year. You have left an impact on camp that will live on long after you graduate. (Kesem love, Peaches)
Pixie, you are a wonderful person to work with. As a new camp counselor this year and a new member on the board, you have been really accommodating and welcoming to me. You always have a great attitude as a development coordinator, and you’re very committed to the group and Camp Kesem as a whole. Your positive vibe about camp helped inspire me to be devoted to camp and fundraising as much as you are. Your strong efforts and determination help make the fundraising and development elements of Camp Kesem amazing and efficient, and I have big shoes to fill come next fall and the years that follow. You have a big heart and your drive to make Camp Kesem the best it can be will take you far in your journey after college. (Kesem love, Jerky)
Ribbon, since day one you have been at my side, guiding me through any questions I have, helping me run reports, doing Skype interviews, answering application questions, setting up reunions etc. I cannot imagine being co-outreach coordinator with anyone else. You made me the leader I am today, and you really helped me get on top of everything that the outreach coordinator has to do. I feel I am completely ready for anything that arises now for this position in the future. I can attest that you are possibly one of the funniest people I know. You have the funniest side comments on everything, and you’re one of the world’s most incredible bakers!! I cannot imagine Camp Kesem without you and your amazing smile and personality. Your contribution to this organization has been incredible, and you will always be remembered here at Camp Kesem UW. Best of luck to you at Iowa, and I know you will succeed at all you do in the future. Keep being awesome and don’t ever change! (Kesem on and Kesem Love, JoJo)
Bubbles, you’re a great mentor to all of us who were brand new to the board. You do an excellent job with the budget and expensivfy. You also trained us on how to make the week-long schedule, and you always have new and fun ideas for the theme days! We will really miss your bubbly personality. Best of luck, and you’re going to be a great teacher!! (Kesem love, Lily)
Tigger, thank you so much for all your help. This year wasn’t easy since I was not able to attend board meetings, but you did your best to keep me in the loop. Flashback a year and a half ago and you went above and beyond what I ever could have expected in helping me with my journalism school application. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have such a big heart, and you’re going to go far in life. Good luck!! (Kesem love, Nemo)
Tree, your dedication and hardworking mentality as a Camp Kesem member and as part of the executive board has been appreciated more than you know. We are sad to see you go, but we know you will always be a huge part of our success as an organization and that you will always be willing to lend a helping hand. After 2.5 years on the executive board, Monday meetings will not be the same without you. We wish you the best in your future endeavors, and we look forward to spending a magical week of camp with you this summer. (Kesem love, Kirby)
Once again, a huge thank you to our CKUW14 seniors!
