Senior Spotlight: Daisy
Hi! I’m Jess, but I go by Daisy at camp because I worked at a flower shop in high school and daisies are my favorite flowers. I’m graduating in just a few weeks with a degree in communication sciences and disorders as well as a degree in human development and family studies. I will then be attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for my master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders.
I randomly signed up for Camp Kesem and many other clubs at the student organization fair my freshman year, but Camp Kesem was the only organization I stuck with all four years. I have served on the executive board for three years, as the operations coordinator my sophomore year and the director my junior and senior years.
Camp Kesem is truly my family. Being a counselor and coordinator has taught me invaluable leadership skills and that I want to spend the rest of my life working with kids! I also learned what it is like to be passionate and loving for an organization and cause. I will miss seeing the campers transform at camp and spending the entire year planning every detail of camp with my best friends!
BEYOND EXCITED FOR THIS SUMMER,
