Meet the Team

Jessica is the Outreach Co-Coordinator and is a junior nursing student at Seattle University. Born and raised in the Seattle area, she is very excited to provide year-round support and fun to children and families affected by a parent’s cancer. Jessica is passionate about working with children and hopes to become a pediatric nurse after graduation. Even though it’s Seattle U’s first year being a part of Kesem, she believes this organization will have a powerful impact on all who are involved.

Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. A program of Kesem, Camp Kesem operates over 100 free summer camps across the country for children ages 6 to 18 who have been impacted by a parent’s cancer. Kesem programs have a lasting impact on children by providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills.
