Scoring For Good
Scoring for Good is a program of Camp Kesem, where professional athletes show their support of children affected by a parent’s cancer by visiting camps, generating awareness, and dedicating their season to Camp Kesem.
For 2013, in our first season, we were honored to be joined by EJ Manuel of the Buffalo Bills, Tyler Polumbus of the Washington Redskins, and Aldon Smith of the San Francisco 49ers. With their help, we are able to send dozens more kids to camp this summer, and made significant traction in terms of our media presence with featured stories in the San Francisco Chronicle, Sports Illustrated, the Bleacher Report, and more.
A few highlights from our 2013 NFL season:
* EJ Manuel of the Buffalo Bills pledged to donate funds to send more kids to camp for every touchdown
* Aldon Smith donated $1,000 for every sack he made
* Tyler Polumbus donated $1,000 for every 5 pancakes he made
