Meet the Team
Hey! I’m S’mores and I am a Health Promotion Wellness Management major here at Rowan. My favorite animal is a sea otter, I like to bake, and I absolutely LOVE Disney. I Kesem for these amazing kids who have changed my life. They have inspired me in so many different ways. I Kesem to make magic for them. My favorite camp memory was one rainy day at camp, we played Gaga in the mud. No one was scared to get down and dirty and the smile on everyone’s face was amazing
Hi! I’m SunnyD and I am a Computing and Informatics major, with a Minor in Spanish. I like actually love eating my vegetables and fruits. I can speak 3 languages. I Kesem for the profound impact it has on a child’s life. The impact that Kesem has is indescribable and seeing the smiles on these children makes the everything worth it. My favorite Kesem experience was when I was co-hosting the talent show on the last day. It was awesome seeing everyone come together and cheer each other on!
I’m Pumpkin Spice and I am a Health Promotion and Wellness Management Major, with a Biology Minor. I love baking and trying new recipes. My favorite time of the year is fall and then CHRISTMAS. I love making people smile. This is my first year being a member of Camp Kesem, so I don’t have a camp memory to share, but I Kesem because I love hearing the stories of how impactful the counselors are. I love putting a smile on someone’s face, and if it can have a bigger impact on a child, count me in!
Hi everyone!! My name is Sunshine and I am a Communication Studies major with an Advertising minor and a Medical Social Science concentration. I love going on fishing trips with my family, boating in the bay, and being down the shore. I’ve been with Camp Kesem for a year now and my favorite memory has to be last year’s empowerment ceremony. It was nice being surrounded by tons of strong, incredible kids! I Kesem so that we can all forget our troubles for a week and have fun together!
|I named myself Wingz after my favorite food! I am an Advertising/Public Relations major. I have been with Camp Kesem at Rowan University for a year and I Kesem to support children when they need it most. Swimming in the lake is my favorite camp memory. If all else fails in life, I plan to fall back on a career in hand modeling. I also aspire to break the record for owning the most dogs. I pride myself in being able to throw frisbees up to 100mph.
Hi! I’m Guac and I have over 40 cousins, most of who live in Ethiopia. I’ve traveled to over more than 5 countries. My name means sunshine in Amharic. I Kesem so the kids who had to grow up too soon can have a week to be a kid again. I Kesem so that those kids have a support system outside of their family they can always lean on. My favorite camp memory was participating in the talent show with my Fir cabin gals and with Gidget!
I’m Gator and I am a Biochemistry Major. I am fluent in two languages, Italian and English, I enjoy the great outdoors and I also drink a lot of water. I have been with camp for 3 years. I Kesem because it’s a great avenue for kids to be kids again and have a fun-filled week. My favorite memory from camp happened at camp in the summer of 2017 on the giant trampoline in the lake where I wiped out and was thrown in the water. It was embarrassing but so fun at the same time!
I’m Donatello and I am a senior math major who enjoys bike rides and long walks on the beach. After graduation, I aspire to be the best..the very best..the best there ever was. I Kesem because the kids deserve it.
