Here’s what some families have to say about Camp Kesem:

My sons, Michael and Sean, lost their father to cancer when they were 8 and 10. Michael describes Camp Kesem s “Heaven on Earth.” Sean credits Camp Kesem with giving him the self-confidence to come out of his shell, to be who he is. Camp Kesem gives my boys the time and opportunity to leave cancer behind and just be kids.”

- Nancy, Michael and Sean, UCLA

- 98% of parents believe Camp Kesem had a positive impact on their family.

- 99% of families would recommend Camp Kesem to other families affected by cancer

Our very first camp was from August 3rd – 8th, 2014 at Camp Uskichitto in Leblanc, Louisiana! The camp is about 3 hours away from the Houston-area, and we rented a bus to get everyone there and back safely. Uskichitto Retreat Center has extensive facilities and activities for all campers. The cabins were fully air-conditioned, and there were also cabins that are handicap accessible. Activities/facilities include a swimming pool, low ropes course, archery, rock climbing tower, canoeing, playground, sport courts, and more!
