Here’s what some families have to say about Camp Kesem:
“My sons, Michael and Sean, lost their father to cancer when they were 8 and 10. Michael describes Camp Kesem s “Heaven on Earth.” Sean credits Camp Kesem with giving him the self-confidence to come out of his shell, to be who he is. Camp Kesem gives my boys the time and opportunity to leave cancer behind and just be kids.”

Our very first camp was from August 3rd – 8th, 2014 at Camp Uskichitto in Leblanc, Louisiana! The camp is about 3 hours away from the Houston-area, and we rented a bus to get everyone there and back safely. Uskichitto Retreat Center has extensive facilities and activities for all campers. The cabins were fully air-conditioned, and there were also cabins that are handicap accessible. Activities/facilities include a swimming pool, low ropes course, archery, rock climbing tower, canoeing, playground, sport courts, and more!
