Welcome to Camp Kesem Notre Dame!

Bringing Magic to Families Coping with Cancer

Camp 2015 will be held from August 2-7 at YMCA Camp Storer in Jackson, MI

Founded and run by University of Notre Dame students, Camp Kesem is a one-week, student-led overnight summer camp for children ages 6-16 who have a parent affected by cancer. The camp is provided free of charge to all families. Camp Kesem is a secular camp and is open to children of all races, religions, national origins, and financial statuses. It is an opportunity for campers to build self-esteem and gain support from peers facing similar challenges. But most of all, the kids who come to Camp Kesem Notre Dame are there to have fun – and that’s what the week is all about!

Our Purpose: Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, supporting children through and beyond a parent’s cancer.

Our Mission: Camp Kesem supports the often-overlooked population of children affected by a parent’s cancer through a national network of summer camps run by passionate college student leaders.
