Camp Kesem was brought to NAU in the fall of 2014, our goal for our first year is to have 30 campers join us this summer ( 2015) for a week full of fun and friends! Our Coop Board has been working very hard to get donations and raise awareness in the Flagstaff area. We have put on fundraisers at Bigfoot BBQ and we are beginning to hold info sessions for how to become a camp counselor! We have worked very hard and we are extremely excited to be bringing this camp to the Northern Arizona Community! If you would like to learn more about us feel free to contact us or go to our Facebook page: Camp Kesem at NAU.
Camp Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, supporting children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.
To recognize and embrace the often-overlooked population of children affected by a parent’s cancer.
There are over 3 million kids affected by a parent’s cancer. Because they don’t appear sick, their needs are often not addressed – and they suffer quietly, which can have long-lasting effects.Camp Kesem is the only national organization supporting their unique needs.
Our mission is to create a long-lasting peer support network for our campers.
