My kids are coming to camp
This is my message to all camp counselors from all parents. My kids are coming to camp. They are the most important thing in the world to me. I would do anything for them and give up anything to see them safe and having fun. I know that I can’t (and probably shouldn’t) raise my kids alone or in a bubble. I am counting on you to stand in my place for a week or more. Of course, you will have a different relationship with my kids and I know that and want that, but the priority of your relationship with them isn’t really different than mine. I want you to care about and unconditionally love my kids. I want you to keep them safe and I want you to have unbelievable fun. I want you to show my children that there are adults in the world that they can trust. I want you to be the person I can’t be for my kids.
Please love her the way I would, keep her safe, and show her a world of possibility.
