How You Can Help

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your interest in Camp Kesem MIT! Since Camp Kesem is provided free of charge to all children, we are always grateful for support. Also, we are a nationally-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so all donations are tax-deductible.

If you would like to help, there are several options available:

1. Online monetary donations:

Donating is easy and can be done without leaving your house! If you want to give, please visit our our donation webpage! Every $500 sends a camper to camp for free so every penny counts. If you have a particular counselor in mind, you can visit and donate specifically to their individual fundraising page.
Please note that the total shown on our online donation system is not indicative of the total donations we have received so far. This is one of many ways we receive donations.

2. Check donations:

If you would prefer to contribute a check donation, checks can be made payable to “Camp Kesem MIT” and mailed to the following address:

Camp Kesem MIT
P.O. Box 397219
Cambridge, MA 02139

3. In-kind donations

We also accept in-kind donations under two categories: prizes that can be used for fund-raising events (e.g. gift certificates to local restaurants/stores or merchandise if you work for a local store), and camp supplies (ranging from towels to colored pencils to children’s books). If you are interested in donating a prize for a fund-raising event, please contact ckfundraising@mit.edu with a description of the item you would like to donate. If you are interested in donating camp supplies, please contact ckadmin@mit.edu to arrange pick-up/drop-off of the item. For a full list of camp supplies, look below.

4. Alternative donations

Camp Kesem MIT is also grateful for people who want to get involved in other ways. If you have a unique talent, let us know! You could be the featured guest or speaker for a future fund-raising event, or a possible guest for one of our theme days at camp. For example, if you sing in a group, your group could be the entertainment for a fund-raising dinner. If you are a magician, you could come perform at camp.

You are also welcome to discuss other volunteer ideas with us – if you are willing to put in the time to create a project or event, we are willing to help you make your project succeed. We are currently developing a packet for interested families who would like to raise money in schools or in neighborhoods.strong>6. Corporate Sponsorship
