After seven fantastic camps from 2007 to 2013, MIT CK is gearing up for the summer of 2014!
Camp Kesem MIT 2014 is going to be bigger and better than ever! We are looking for more campers, counselors, and volunteers to join us.
This year, we hope to expand further our number of campers while continuing to retain our magical 2 to 1 camper to counselor ratio. We look forward to seeing new campers and counselors experience Kesem magic.
The average cost to send a child to camp is $500, but fortunately, with the help of donors and money raised by Camp Kesem MIT students, camp is completely free! Our only request is that you take the time to fill out a simple application so that we can get to know your son or daughter before their arrival. Applications are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. MIT Camp Kesem is open to children ages six to eighteen with a parent who has or has had cancer. Camp Kesem is open to children regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, or financial status.
We are thrilled to see all of last year’s campers as well as meeting many new campers!
Camp Kesem MIT 2014: What you need to know!
Due to growing numbers of campers, we are hosting two week-long camps in 2014! There will be two sessions of camp in 2014:
To accommodate our growth, Camp Kesem MIT will be moving to Camp Wekeela in 2014. Not only will we be able to host new campers, but also new activities!
At camp, we create a safe, supportive, fun environment where campers support each other and emerge from the week with increased self-esteem and understanding that they are not alone. As always, Camp Kesem MIT is free of charge to any camper and children with special needs are welcome.
We understand that this change may cause some confusion for camper families. For this reason, we have created a FAQ.
