Our Camp dates have been set for CK 2013! Our camp is now full–we can’t wait for a wonderful week with our 111 campers!
On December 27 2011, CK MIT tragically lost one of our past counselors Phyo “Yo-Yo” Nyi Nyi Kyaw. A tribute page has been setup in his honor, as well as a scholarship fund here.
Camp Kesem MIT 2012 was a phenomenal success with 87 campers and 48 counselors (plus 4 admin, 1 camp advisor, 2 teen advisors, 1 nurse, 1 therapist, 4 interpreters and a CK National program director and professional photographer) participating. Check back soon for pictures, videos and more information on next year’s camp! Camp Kesem MIT, a student-run summer camp for kids whose parents have or have had cancer, is gearing up for our seventh camp session in August 2013! If you are a parent, click on the Campers section to learn more about camp and access application materials. If you have a teenager, go to the Teen Program section to learn about our new program. If you are an MIT student, visit the Student Volunteers section to find out how to volunteer with the MIT branch.
