Welcome to Camp Kesem MIT!
Camp Kesem MIT is a non-profit, student-run organization that provides a free, week-long summer camp for children (ages 6-18) affected by a parent’s cancer. Our camp seeks to create a fun, supportive environment that fosters lifelong relationships for our campers who are all facing similar challenges. Our counselors are caring, responsible students who are passionate about helping campers experience a week filled with fun activities, laughter, friendship and most of all, the Kesem magic.
Since our establishment in 2007, we have been continuously growing and spreading the Kesem magic. In 2013, we empowered 99 campers and ~60 counselors! We would like to thank everyone – our sponsors, advisors, counselors, coordinators, and camper families – for making our 2013 camp session the best one yet! We can’t wait for Camp Kesem MIT 2014 where we will be sharing the Kesem magic with even more campers!

Remembering Past Counselor “Yo-Yo.”
On December 27 2011, CK MIT tragically lost one of our past counselors Phyo “Yo-Yo” Nyi Nyi Kyaw. A tribute page has been setup in his honor, as well as a scholarship fund.
