Are you a high school junior or senior who is interested in attending Camp Kesem from a leadership standpoint? Want to gain valuable volunteer and service experience working with kids whose parents have been affected by cancer? Want to meet and make new friends while having the summer of a lifetime? Sounds like our Counselor-In-Training program might be the right fit for you!
The CIT Program is for 17 and 18 year olds with a desire to work with children with a parent that has or has had cancer. The program focuses on leadership, community service, and team-building skills. CITs attending a college or university without a CK chapter are able to come back as Camp Kesem Michigan counselors after their freshman year.
Camp Kesem CIT’s attend a full week of camp and have a schedule that allows them to gain valuable skills and experience in the role of a counselor-in-training but also provides them with all the fun of a week at summer camp! To find out more about the CIT program, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To apply for the CIT program please fill out a camper application here. We will contact you with a supplemental CIT application once this is submitted.
Here are a few more pictures of CITs at camp from past summers. It is such a wonderful and rewarding week for the CITs and their counselors!
