Make the Magic is almost here!
Today Michigan is officially back from spring break, and the CKUMich family is getting into the final stretch preparation for this Saturday’s Make the Magic event.
For those that don’t know, Make the Magic is one of our largest fundraising events; each year we look to MTM as a chance to take a decent bite out of our fundraising goal (this year we’re shooting for $60,000). This year the event planning was headed by the lovely Tie Dye and French Toast, who have done a ton of work to make Make the Magic happen—thanks ladies :). Guests can look forward to student performances, counselor and family speeches, a silent auction and of course an awesome brunch spread.
Personally (and I feel like I may not be alone on this one) I’ve been a little frantic, working to fill a table full of my friends and family, solicit businesses, etc. But regardless of the slightly rocky ramp-up, I’m so excited for this year’s event. While this will only be my second MTM, my experience from freshman year has shown me that the small hectic is so worth the reward of putting on an amazingly successful event while also showing those close to me what Kesem is all about and why it is so important in my life at Michigan.
T-minus 5 days! Can’t wait to see everyone who can make it out Saturday.
