Get Involved with Camp Kesem JHU!
We are always looking for volunteers to help build a supportive community for families in the Maryland area coping with cancer. Please look below to see how you can get involved and become a part of the CK family!

If you are a JHU student, Camp Kesem is an opportunity for you to build friendships, gain leadership skills, and contribute to your local community. We are a student run organization that provides a free week-long summer camp for children who have or have had a parent with cancer. Our camp offers students the opportunity to become either student members or student counselors.

As a member, you will:
  • Volunteer at fundraising events
  • Attend meetings
  • Assist in planning and organizing events
  • Be part of the Camp Kesem family and an amazing and passionate group of students

Camp Kesem JHU has a 3:1 ratio of campers to counselors. For the summer of 2015, we would like to take 30-35 counselors to camp. The counselor selection process is very important in order for camp to run smoothly. Prospective counselors are expected to attend meetings as well as take part in events and fundraisers. All counselors are carefully screened by the camp coordinators and receive extensive training.

The application for the summer of 2015 is out!! Go to our main page to register!
