2015 Camper Applications can be found HERE!

Our Campers

Camp Kesem Indiana is available to children in central and southern Indiana between the ages of 6-18 who have or had a parent who has or had cancer. Camp Kesem is a secular camp and is open to all children regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, or financial status. Due to the financial burden experienced by families with cancer, Camp Kesem is provided free of charge to the families it serves.

This summer, we WILL reach capacity in the number of campers we admit.  Campers will be admitted/wait-listed on a first-come, first-served basis and new camper preference will be given to children in CKIU’s region.

Counselor In Training

Our Counselor In Training program is a leadership program for 17-18 year olds who are :

  • Former Camp Kesem campers from any other CK campus
  • Not former campers, but have/have had a parent with cancer and are interested in attending but are too old for teen camp
  • Not former campers, but have a younger sibling in their family attending CKIU this year

During the week of camp, CITs will have a counselor/leadership class every morning with current CKIU counselors and then lead camp activities and work with younger units in the afternoon.  Accepted CITs will also be involved in the fundraising efforts of CKIU throughout the school year.

Applications for the CIT program will be out in November.  Check back then for more information on the application process and the CIT camp schedule.

Camp Facility

Camp Kesem Indiana will use the facility of Flat Rock River Camp YMCA located in St. Paul, IN. For More information about Flat Rock, please visit their website.
