Camp Kesem Indiana University

Where magic happens.

Camp Kesem supports the often-overlooked population of children affected by a parent’s cancer through a national network of summer camps run by passionate college student leaders.

Camp Kesem provides children through and beyond a parent’s cancer with a peer-support network that recognizes and understands their unique needs. This summer, Camp Kesem will serve over 4,000 children, ages 6-16, with fun and support through free summer camps led by passionate college students. Camp Kesem currently operates over 60 chapters in 29 states and is funded by donations and community support.

Camp Kesem at Indiana University was founded in 2004 and provides free summer camps for children affected by a parent’s cancer in the Central and Southern Indiana area. It is an opportunity for campers to build self-esteem and gain support from peers facing similar challenges. But most of all, the kids who come to Camp Kesem Indiana are there to have fun – and that’s what the week is all about.
