There are over 3 million kids affected by a parent’s cancer. But, because they don’t appear sick, their needs are often not addressed – and they suffer quietly, which can have long-lasting effects. Camp Kesem is the only national organization supporting their unique needs. We create a peer support network for these kids which has life-long impact.
Camp Kesem at FSU provides a FREE week of summer camp to kids ages 6-16 who have a parent affected by cancer. Summer 2014 will be our third summer! Last year, we had 20 campers and we all had the time of our lives! This year we have enough spots for 40 campers! We are counting down the days until this years camp! Our students run, plan, fundraise, and recruit campers for camp.
Join us for our third camp from August 3-8, 2014. It is going to be held in Orange Springs, FL at Girl Scout Camp Kateri, about two and a half hours from FSU. Transportation will be provided from the university. Click around the links to the left for more information or to apply!
