July 25, 2012 Day 3 of Camp Kesem Augustana!Hey Kesem parents! Today at camp was Water Day, which was so refreshing in this weather. After a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, campers tie-dyed shirts and enjoyed an AWESOME slip-and-slide and water balloon toss. Swimming followed and the water was fantastic! Lunch today consisted of delicious chicken nuggets that the campers loved. After some relaxing cabin time, the campers went on a scavenger hunt across the camp and went canoeing, many for the very first time! Afterwards, campers broke into their units to prepare for the upcoming Talent Show on Thursday night…it is going to be fabulous. After dinner the campers came up to the (air-conditioned) main lodge for a Movie Night/Pajama Party, planned to avoid being out in the heat. They are currently watching “Madagascar” to go along with our Jammin’ in the Jungle camp theme!!! When the movie is finished, we will be heading to our cabins for some well-needed rest. Despite the heat we are keeping cool and are making necessary adjustments to the schedule to avoid excessive heat/sun exposure. Have a great night, we sure are here at Camp Kesem Augustana!!!!!!!!!! Glad to know everyone is enjoying themselves, my kids were to excited, i’m sure they will have lots to tell me. Thanks for all the hard work to ensure, the kids will have a great time.
