Why a member of Camp Kesem?
When I was 12 years old my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. I remember feeling very confused about my mom’s diagnosis and I did not know what was going to happen to her. I felt like I had no one to talk and didn’t think anyone would understand what I was going through. When I heard about Camp Kesem I knew that this would have been a great experience for me, and I immediately wanted to help. Being a counselor at Camp Kesem has taught me so much and I feel so lucky to have gotten the opportunity to be a member of the Camp Kesem family.

What is your favorite Camp Kesem memory?

My favorite memory at camp would have to be the mostest-bestest game. All the campers were so creative and I don’t think I have ever laughed that hard in my life. But I think the one thing I will never forget from camp is the transformation that all the campers made from the first day of camp to the last. I feel so lucky to have gotten to know every single of the campers and cannot wait until this summer!

Hooooray for Peanut sharing her love for Camp Kesem!!!

****REMEMBER… If you have any questions you want the next counselor in the spotlight to answer post them on our Facebook page!!!
