Counselor Perspective: Mufasa
I was super lucky to be a counselor this past summer because I never actually heard about the camp until 2 days before. It was a Cinderella story really being called right after my flight landed from New York to head to Austin for a week of camp. I didn’t know what to expect at all, but when I heard I had to escort a bunch of children around to activities, it sounded like too much fun to pass up. The good news is it was much more fun then I could have imagined. I didn’t expect to bond with a group of 6 year olds so fast, but they really do grow on you! I think the wonderful thing about Camp Kesem is that everything you do is always a positive step and you never have a dull moment. Being a counselor was one of the best decisions of my life and I thank God I get to do it again this summer.
