CK OSU Day 3
Day 3 @ Headquarters:
After a late night at the campfire, the campers were exhausted waking up. Luckily, a yummy breakfast of pancakes and sausage followed by some camp songs outside the dining hall got the kids ready to go. We then headed to Headquarters for Arts & Crafts time where the kids could choose to make sock puppets or stained glass (or sometimes both!). They all turned out fantastic and I’m sure the campers will be eager to show you all of the awesome things they’ve made while at camp!
Campers and counselors then played some intense games of Gaga and Human foosball. They headed back to Headquarters for a huge surprise–the Columbus Zoo was waiting for them! With all sorts of animals from a penguin, to a kangaroo, to a lynx, the kids were enjoying every minute of it. A huge thank you goes out to the Columbus Zoo for giving our campers a wild show!
After lunch and rest time, the campers split into group and alternated between playing different sports games and riding the giant swing, one of the favorite programs of the week! Everyone ate dinner and then headed once again to the athletic fields for some mini games. The kids were taught Chicken in the Hen House before playing Balloon Tag and Cheeto Toss which ended up being their favorite. Each cabin selected a counselor to cover in shaving cream and then toss cheetos on their face.
The kids then turned in for a well deserved early night. Each day only gets better!
